Indoor vs. Outdoor Accommodations

The Abriendo Inn is a one stop shop for your entire wedding day. From getting ready, to the ceremony to the reception, you can accomplish it all here. Most couples end up spending the night before their wedding and the night of their wedding at The Abriendo Inn. This allows both couples to get up peacefully and not be stressed about their timeline throughout the day. The property is extremely beautiful both inside and out. Each room is beautiful decorated and the property has beautiful landscaping throughout the year. They are constantly changing up the decor around the property. This ensures that every wedding at The Abriendo Inn is unique.

Our only downside is that ceremony and reception must take place outside. If the weather turns sour you need to be prepared. The inside of the property although large is not able to accommodate a wedding inside. Pueblo doesn’t get a ton of rain but this is something you need to consider if you are not a fan of rain on your big day and this is a concern of yours. Rain usually goes away pretty quick but again, with most wedding sizes everyone will be outside for the ceremony and the reception.

Lighting

Overall we enjoy the lighting at The Abriendo Inn. All the rooms provide great ambient light as well as large windows that open to bring in natural light. Since the ceremony and reception take place outside you shouldn’t have too much of an issue with light during these times. Even at night the property has great ambient light with string lights hanging, the main property lights and the decor lights. All in all, we like the lights here a lot!

Atmosphere

Quiet and peaceful is our simplest way of explaining this property. The entire property has a calming affect on you. From sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee or sitting down for a quick meal in the dining room, you will be able to relax on your wedding day. Your guests will appreciate this as well.

Staff

We have never had an issue with the staff here. They are always so help and accommodating. They help set up for most weddings and they are always able to be found should something happen or if you need them.

Getting Ready

One of our favorite things about The Abriendo Inn is the getting ready spaces. Both couples along with the wedding party will have access to multiple rooms throughout the house for getting ready. This is perfect for your photographer to be able to quickly jump between room and capture all the action on a wedding day. Each room is beautiful decorated and provides a unique atmosphere in each. Our only complaint is the rooms can be a little small when you get more than a few people in a room. For just a couple you are golden, but if you have a larger bridal party just be prepared that the rooms can get crowded.

Accessibility

Most of the property can be accessed without much stairs. There are just a couple to enter the main floor of the house but if a guest is not able to do stairs they are able to head right to the back patio where the ceremony and reception takes place. If you have any guests that are not stair mobile or have an issue with climbing stairs it may be difficult for them to see the bridal party before the wedding since all the main sleeping rooms and getting rooms are on the second floor of the home.

Parking

For most wedding party sizes parking should not be an issue. The main couple usually has access to the private parking spots on the property and most guests should be able to find parking on the street. If your wedding is on the larger size it may be best for guests to carpool or they may have to walk a block or so to get to the property. Overall it has never been a problem.

Photo Opportunities

We love the opportunities for photos here. Getting ready photos are beautiful regardless of which room you choose. The main entrance with the beautiful staircase is wonderful for photos. The outside porch, patio and the backyard are beautiful as well. You really cannot go wrong here with photos. The property is also big enough to accommodate photos for family photos and the wedding party. This is truly your one stop shop for all photo opportunities. If for some reason you want something different, downtown pueblo is just 2 minutes away and you have access to The Union Depot, the Pueblo Riverwalk or with just a 5 minute drive you can access Pueblo City Park. You will not be disappointed with photos here at The Abriendo Inn.

The Abriendo Inn is probably one of our favorite places in Pueblo to photograph a wedding. Having access to both sides of the wedding party on the same property is huge for getting ready photos. The rooms all have beautiful windows with natural light. The property is always well maintained and you don’t have many distractions to edit out of the background. Ceremony and reception photos are always beautiful. The Abriendo Inn is truly a one stop shop for all things for weddings.

Things to consider for your photographer - Make sure to ask your photographer if they have a wide angle lens. The rooms can get tight and a wide lens is vital for capturing getting ready photos. Be sure to ask them if their gear is weather sealed since an unexpected rain shower will still need to be captured and since there is no way to move the wedding inside your photographer should have great that can handle a light rain or snowfall.
